I had to laugh when I saw they were already 30 year old cans.

I can't believe someone forked out 100 bucks with shipping for that! :banghead:

The bidding has closed on the item, so I don't know what you were getting for the $100.00. Might have been a good buy though.

I'll tell ya, I've still got MH stuff in #2 1/2 cans from 1982 that's as good as the day it was canned. Bought one of those pre-packed 3 month deals back then when I was just getting into prepping and have been eating it up slowly over the past couple of years. The only time I noticed anything was when I first started eating it up. I opened two cans of the same product (I think it was Beef and Rice with Onions entree). One can had a slightly 'off' taste as compared with the second can, but if you hadn't opened them to compare side by side, you'd never have noticed a difference.

Pretty darn good I'd say.

I wonder what the cost of inflation was back then in comparison to now??

Read the description. It's 6 cans for a total weight of 12.5 lbs of 30 year old freeze dried entrees. That is as much as new stuff from honeyville with the 6.95 anywhere is the U.S. shipping included.
